September Project: Textile Designs (Grade 4)


Project Attributes:

  • Fine motor skills were employed when manipulating burlap, cutting fabric and sewing ribbon yarn or thread to personalize the textile design. 
  • Symmetrical vs. Asymmetrical
  • Emphasis – placement of buttons or seqins or feathers
  • Elements of art include: line, shape, color, texture, space, patternCreativity and Design: How did you place and arrange your fabric pieces?  What colors did you choose and why?
